The F-4 Phantom II is a two-seat supersonic long-range all-weather fighter-bomber originally developed for the US Navy. The Phantom was used by the US military from 1960 to 1996, and was the primary air superiority fighter and a workhorse fighter-bomber for the USAF, Navy and Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. In 2001, over 1,000 F-4's were in service with 11 nations worldwide. Maiden flight May 27, 1958.

TheF-14 Tomcat is a supersonic, twin-engine, two-seat, variable geometry wing aircraft. The F1-4 was the US Navy's primary maritime air superiority fighter, fleet defense interceptor and tactical reconaissance platform from 1974 to 2006. It later performed precision strike missions once it was intergrated with LANTIRN. It was developed after the collapse of the F-111B project, and was the first of the American teen-series fighters which were designed incorporating the experience of air combat in Vietnam against MiGs.
